When is the best month to visit Monaco?
Any time of the year is a good time to visit Monaco. The Monaco summer season is always a busy time with fine weather and temperatures rarely staying far from 30°C. During the winter the beaches may still be fairly sunny during, although winter is really too cold for sunbathing or swimming in the sea. April/May and September/October can be considered to be the best time to visit Monaco with respect to the temperature.

Climate in Monaco
Monaco has an amazing Mediterranean climate with sunny summers and fairly mild winters. Throughout the year Monaco enjoys at least 300 days of sunny weather. The day time temperatures during the summer months from June to August remain in between 20°C and 23°C, the hottest months being July and August. The Monaco winter is from December through to February and has an average temperature of 9.5°C with January generally being the coolest month with an average minimum of 8°C and an average maximum of 12°C.

It experiences minimal rainfall throughout summer, averaging one or two days of rain throughout the height of summer and three or four days of rain in June and September and also averages a relative humidity of 75%
Winter in Monaco
Monaco only averages sixty days a year of precipitation, which is relatively low for a Mediterranean climate. Generally this weather consists of hot/dry summers and cooler, wetter winters. During December to February, the average temperature is 9.5°C with January being the coolest month with an average minimum of 8°C and an average maximum of 12°C. December sees the region experiencing the lowest hours of daily sunshine, averaging four hours a day and this extends up to 5 hours a day in January and February.

Autumn sees Monaco enjoying clear skies and average temperatures of 15°C to 21°C. October and November are generally Monaco's wettest months, averaging 113mm and 123mm precipitation which is almost twice as much as the rainfall in September. Spring in Monaco is slightly cooler, partly due to the infamous ‘le mistral’ wind that blows through blowing from the northwest of Europe. The wind has the effect of clearing the sky and drying the air which accounts for the crisp refreshing feel in Monaco in the spring.

What to pack and wear in Monaco?
During the summer time in Monaco you can wear T-shirts, light fabric pants, skirts and capris. You can have llight weight dresses with a warm wrap for cooler summer evenings. However, light to medium weight dresses are advised for winter and you should have your sweater or jacket if visiting during the winter.
