Weather Agadir
Agadir is a coastal city in Morocco, and is one of southern Morocco’s most visited destinations. Popular as a winter getaway spot for Europeans, Agadir was almost completely rebuilt following a devastating earthquake in 1950.

Agadir’s Climate
Agadir has a very temperate climate, with no extremes of weather. Warm summers are not overly hot, and very mild winters are a popular draw for visitors from colder parts of Europe. There is little rainfall, but what there is falls mostly in the winter. With over 300 days of sunshine a year, it’s easy to see why so many are drawn to Agadir, although fog and haze are common in the summer months.
Agadir in Summer
Between June and August, Agadir’s summer brings average daily highs of around 24-26°C, with overnight lows of 16-18°C. These are comfortable beach temperatures, without being stifling however, as mentioned, the haze and fog can take the edge off what might otherwise be a beautiful summer’s day. There are many watersports opportunities in and around Agadir, should you get bored of lazing on the beach.
If you’re visiting Agadir in the summer, take sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses. Occasional heat waves brought by Saharan winds can take the temperature up over 40°C, so be prepared for that.
Agadir in Autumn
A very mild autumn climate finds average daily highs in Agadir still reaching 23°C in November. Be aware, however, that the night time temperatures do fall away sharply after the summer months, and will fall to a chilly 8°C by the end of November.
If you’re visiting Agadir in the autumn, take layered clothing so that you are comfortable as the temperature drops in the evenings.
Agadir in Winter
Agadir has beautifully sunny and clear winter days, with temperatures reaching an exceptionally mild 20°C throughout December and January. However, again, it’s the night-time temperatures which catch out visitors. Overnight lows can be as low as 6-7°C, so make sure you bring a sweater or jacket with you. As in the autumn, layered clothing might be the best solution.
Winter is the wettest season in Agadir, but you will still only see rain on around 5 days in each month however, an umbrella or waterproof jacket wouldn’t go amiss. This is a popular season for day trips into the Atlas mountains, to enjoy the crisp air and fine views.
Agadir in Spring
After such a mild winter, it’s no surprise that spring comes early to Agadir. This is a very pleasant time to visit the city, as average daily highs rise to 22°C and overnight temperatures slowly climb into the mid teens Celsius.
